DC MAP (Mental Health Access in Pediatrics) is a program aimed at improving mental health integration within pediatric primary care.

The District of Columbia Mental Health Access in Pediatrics (DC MAP) is a district-wide initiative that helps health care providers take better care of children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.
The DC MAP team supports healthcare providers in addressing behavioral health challenges through consultation with a team of Psychiatry Providers, Clinical Social Workers, and Care Coordinators, providing access to referrals and resources, and facilitating provider education and training that enhances integration.

The DC MAP team provides free telephonic consultation to healthcare providers. Phone Consultations support with addressing behavioral health needs in primary care.
The DC MAP team can provide real-time video-conferencing telehealth consultation to families using the Advanced MD Telehealth system.

DC MAP ensures health care providers and ancillary healthcare staff have access to the latest research regarding behavioral health integration.
In addition, DC MAP provides training opportunities to enhance healthcare providers' understanding of best practices for addressing behavioral health needs in primary care.
RECEIVE CARE NAVIGATION | To support with resources and referrals
Our Care Coordinators work closely with healthcare providers and families, providing community resources and referrals for community-based behavioral support services.
Care Coordinators follow pediatrics and families, ensuring successful linkage to continued behavioral health supports.
DC MAP Care Coordinators are available to enroll/re-enroll providers over the phone.
•Enrollment will allow us to streamline our response to consultations as we will already have your information.
•Enrollment data helps us sustain our funding for DC MAP so that we can provide this service to you and your patients for free.
