Common Questions
How does billing work at PTWMSI?
We bill your insurance directly whenever possible. Any copay or remaining balance after insurance processing will be charged to the payment method on file or sent as a statement. Our goal is to make billing transparent and straightforward.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and checks. You can manage payments securely through your Patient Portal or contact our front office at office-admin@ptwmsi.org or (202) 724-7666.
What if I see duplicate charges?
If you notice two charges close together, one may be for your recent session copay while the other covers a balance from prior sessions. Review your Patient Portal or your insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for details. Contact us if you have questions.
Do you have financial assistance options?
Yes. We serve all patients regardless of ability to pay. Discounted rates based on family size and income are available. Contact our front office to discuss your situation confidentially.
What is your cancellation policy?
In accordance with PTWMSI's financial policies, appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee. Please notify your provider or our office promptly if you need to reschedule.
How do I update my insurance information?
You can update insurance information through your Patient Portal, or contact our front office at office-admin@ptwmsi.org or (202) 724-7666. Keeping your information current helps us process claims accurately.
What if I don't have insurance?
We welcome uninsured patients and offer sliding-scale rates based on income. Our intake team will work with you to create an affordable payment plan. Call (202) 724-7666 to learn more.
How can I reschedule an appointment?

SMS Terms and Conditions
Some programs use text messaging to share information, including updates to services. Users have the option to opt-in. By opting-in, you confirm your entry into the text messaging services and might receive text messages to a designated phone number. Message and data rates might apply from your mobile carrier.
Users will have the option to opt-out of the service by texting "STOP" or "QUIT." For assistance, text "HELP."
